Mitch Frerotte Dead At 43

Mitch Frerotte, who played as backup offensive lineman on three Super Bowls for the Buffalo Bill’s has died at 43.

Mitch Frerotte, apparently had a heart attack. A 911 emergency responce went to a residence a few blocks away from his home. He was taken to Armstrong County Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy has been performed but no details have been released.

 

Mitch Frerotte was recognizable by his long blond hair and goatee, and black face paint.  He was known by his team mates as the ‘Pit Bull’.

He played four seasons with the Buffalo Bills and Super Bowl seasons from 1990 to 1992. He played a total of 58 games with three starts while registering two caught touchdown passes.

Frerotte played for Penn State from 1983 up to 1987. He later joined the Seattle Seahawks training camp in 1993 but had a neck injury that ended his career.

Wow, Mitch Frerotte, the ‘Pit bull’ linesman for the Bills is dead.
And only 43. Sobering news.
No word of foul play or misadventure. Sounds like it was a massive heart attack at his mother’s place.
I wonder what his diet was like.
