Ex-president Bill Clinton is back in the news again following a scathing profile in this month’s Vanity Fair magazine.

Just as we thought there was nothing more to add to Hillary Clinton’s election campaign for nomination as the Democratic party’s presidential candidate, more details emerge of the former President’s $109 million fortune, reports of his changes since his heart bypass surgery, and friendships with billionaire bachelor buddy Ron Burkle.

Although the article hesitates to proclaim sexual indiscretions despite tabloid speculation, there are still persistent rumors that he may be up to his old tricks.

Clinton’s aides are frequently cringing at repetitive tabloid reports that he has a friendship and occasional dinners with Belinda Stronach, a twice divorced billionaire and heiress 20 years his junior.

There are also reports of meeting a woman in a bar, a ravishing entourage, and critical descriptions of public behavior.

Bill Clinton’s PR office responded by attacking Vanity Fair magazine and dismissing the allegations, describing it as journalism of personal destruction at its worst.

Unconfirmed rumors that the former president may still be philandering has been attributed to much of the loss of Hillary Clinton’s support especially from Senator Ted Kennedy and others.

But Hillary Clinton hasn’t given up trying to persuade super-delegates to support her. One thing super-delegates can do is change their mind, she said in Puerto Rico.

However, a planned speech tomorrow may reveal her true intentions.

Meanwhile Bill Clinton is showing signs of this campaign’s strain. Following the Vanity Fair publication, he said this may be the last day he will work on a campaign on this kind.
