Absorption of carbohydrates, or complex sugars, is also slowed by the consumption of some fats. A big breakfast diet might consist of a cup of milk, turkey, cheese, bread, mayonnaise, and a protein shake.
The study revealed that even though a lower calorie breakfast resulted in slightly more weight loss at 4 months, participants regained their weight. The big breakfast group continued to lose weight through 8 months.
At the end of the weight loss diet tests the low carb group lost 4.5% and the big breakfast group lost 21% of their body weight.
Having a healthy breakfast makes sense to nutrition experts. They also recommend a longer term approach to sensible weight loss instead of resorting to weight loss surgery.
