After the flight attendant told her to put out the cigarette, Christina Szele stupidly abused the attendant with a racist remark.
Yeah that helps. Air cabin crew next restrained her but she managed to free herself and punched the flight attendant in the face.
Great. So now she has added an assault to the Federal offence of smoking on a plane. The pilot diverted the JetBlue plane to Denver where Szele was removed and faces 20 years imprisonment and $250,000 fines.
I have no sympathy for anyone who smokes at any time. It is a voluntary habit that anyone can break if they want to. However, I give them the right to poison themselves to death. That is their punishment.
I do not tolerate anyone imposing their poison on me or on anyone else who objects.
Christina Szele: Quit smoking! Do you want any stop smoking aids, or stop smoking help? I can give you a few suggestions on stop smoking methods. It’s called rational thought.
Oh, I’m sorry you obviously don’t have a rational thought in your reptilian brain. That’s why you have no idea what assaulting a person means, let alone the best way to quit smoking.

I think 20 years in prison is a bit much. How many celebrities have acted like this on flights and gotten away with it? Besides, isn’t Jetblue the airline that made passengers sit on the tarmac for 12 hours with no food or water? I, for one, think flight attendants have gotten out of control. Yes, she should receive some sort of punishment. But the rest of her adult life in prison because she had a few drinks (which THEY served her!) and blacked out? Where is the compassion?
