Affliction Banned Weigh-In for Affliction Banned takes place this Friday, July 18th, at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, where the event is to be held.
Heavyweight Aleksander Emelianenko, the younger brother of Fedor Emelianenko, was supposed to fight UFC and Strikeforce veteran Paul Buentello
in one of the fights on the “Affliction Banned” card. The Buentello vs. Emelianenko fight was canceled by the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC), after Emelianenko failed to meet the medical licensing requirements.

Affliction Banned is touted as having the greatest line-up of mixed-martial-arts fights ever presented in one night.
By most accounts this is the best card ever put together, with some great fights scheduled. Hopefully the event will live up to the hype and can keep putting on cards like this.
