Flip and Grow Rich is the name given to an online campaign by Armando Montelongo to sell advice for would be house flippers. Who is Armando Montelongo and what does he know about flip and grow rich?
You may not remember the name but you might have seen the A&E TV series "Flip This House". In that show Armand Montelongo and his wife, Veronica Montelongo, plus brother David and wife Melina Montelongo, bought up run down houses in parts of San Angelo, Texas, renovated them to a certain point and flipped them off to new home buyers.
Sounds reasonable enough, and maybe he made money that way, and maybe he helped get low income families into their own homes.
But can he tell you how to do it yourself and make money at it? Is the process even viable now since that A&E show and the mortgage and real estate meltdown? If you can flip and grow rich why not keep doing it instead of teaching others?
I remember one of those show episodes in which, in the usual panicked and contrived deadlines, that they actually sprayed green dye on the dead grass to make the lawn look better.
The show series ended as the speculators folded tents with the collapse of the real estate market but where did the Montelongos turn up? Where else but the other real estate market: virtual. As in online, Internet marketing of an ebook and a CD course and coaching from Armando, with affiliate sales etc. And a motherhood web site by Melina.
If you watched other episodes of "Flip This House" you may remember another outfit based in Charleston, South Carolina. That company, Trademark Properties, is suing A&E for not paying promised royalties from the show.
Trademark Properties has moved to TLC channel with another flipping show, originally called "The Real Deal", then changed to "The Real Pros".
Whether it’s real properties or virtual properties flip and grow rich looks like a winning formula.
Flip And Grow Rich?…
The online world if full of dodgy operators and slick salemen so I had to wonder about the authenticity of ex-Flip This House showman Armando Montelongo turning up online with a $100 ebook and a $1000 CD coaching course. More of the same ol same ol’. …
We ordered the $40.00 package to start and before we evn got it some guy called explaining we’d need to use ours or someone else’s money to invest (at least $10,000.00) When I said we couldn’t afford that he told us just to refuse the package when it arrived, which we did and now the company is refusing to reimburse us saying they never got the package back. We are disgusted as we used to watch the show and can’t believe we are now part of what is obviously a scam. Wasn’t Armando’s wife request he help people. I’m not working, and losing $40.00 may not be a lot to Armando but it is to us.
How disappointing! I hope everyone involved remembers there’s a higher power watching all this and you aren’t taking anything with you when you leave this world. We will all be held accountable for our actions. What a world!
